One police source tell AMEBOUPDATE for Akure, di state capital, say di suspect, wey be single mother and di victim wey she stab na her lover before dem part ways.
Di victim, according to eyewitness account, he go visit di suspect and reportedly he meet her new lover with her and he con dey para.
He con dey insist say make di new boyfriend Comot for di house as him wan sleep dere for night with di suspect but di suspect no agree and Na so fight start between dem.
Di victim, AMEBOUPDATE gather after say he con request for di N500 wey he don give Di suspects earlier so di twins fit chop food for dat day.
Seun as she dey explain why she stab Di victim, she talk say““My ex-boyfriend come my house for afternoon and he give my twins five hundred naira for food.
“In di evening, he come back to my house and he talk say he go come sleep over for my place for night. But I tell am say I no dey interested in am anymore.
“Den he con ask for di money he give my twins. And I gave am di money immediately. Suddenly, he start to dey beat me.
“He beat me becus when he come my house, he meet my present boyfriend with me. He bin dey angry and start to dey beat me.
“So, wen I know say he don overpower me, I use knife stab am for stomach.
Police source informed AMEBOUPDATE say dem rush di victim go Trauma Centre, for Ondo town for treatment, while the suspect, dem arrest am and charge am to court.
Meanwhile, dem don drag Seun before di Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ondo town, say she unlawfully wound one Akinbinu Lomi Alara with knife.
She, however, plead not guilty to di charge wey dem put against her.
Di police Prosecutor, Benard Olagbayi, talk say di defendant commit di offence on May 4, 2022, at about 9:30 pm for iyalaje market in Ondo, contrary to and dey punishable under Section 338(1) of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Volume 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.
Olagbayi, wey tell di court say he go call three witnesses to take testify in the case, apply for date to take enable am to study di case file.
Di defendant counsel, wey P O Afolayan apply for her bail.
Di Presiding Chief Magistrate, wey Mrs Charity Adeyanju, con grant di defendant bail for Di sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum and con adjourn di case till May 30, 2022, for hearing.
