Governor of di Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, wey be Godwin Emefiele don finally react to viral report of him intention to go run for di presidency for di 2023 election.
Emefiele, in a thread for one of his verified Twitter page, on Saturday, talk say he never still take stand.
Di CBN boss say God go direct his decision in di next few days.
He talk say he go use his hard earned savings to take fund di project, wey dey in compliance with Nigeria’s constitution, if he don don decide to go join the contest for the presidency.
“I dey humbled by di growing interest of dose people wey dey ask say make I run for di Office of President in di 2023 general elections: I never still come to that decision. I note and salute di sacrifices of dose farmers and patriots dem wey dey go as far as raising personal funds and dey offer me Presidential Nomination Forms: I thank them most profusely,” he wrote.
Emefiele said should he answer their calls and decide to seek presidential nomination, “I will use my own hard earned savings from over 35 years of banking leadership to buy my own Nomination Forms without proxies in an open and transparent manner in full compliance with the laws and Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“And should I not run for elected office, I will continue to serve and sacrifice for the good people of Nigeria under the able leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“This is a serious decision that requires God’s divine intervention: in the next few days The Almighty will so direct.”
