“Di General Officer Commanding, 81 Division, Nigerian Army, wey be Major General Umar Musa, for press briefing, talk out the unfounded narrative say all di bad illicit acts wey di person committ dressed inside military uniforms dey always be by military personnel.
“He note say all dos persons wey dey display military banners and accoutrements, such as belts and stickers for vehicles and driving commercial vehicles for inside military uniform as well as Dey drive civilian vehicles wey dem paint for army colours most of dem no be personnel of the Nigerian Army.
“He talk say for effort to curtail(stop) the ugly trend, the division don heightened(increase) di activities of Operation Checkmate to take ensure regular arrest of imposters and offenders wey dey within the division’s area of responsibility. The GOC disclosed say over 150 impostors don dey arrested from January last year till date.”
