Di Federal High Court sitting in Benin, Edo and Abeokuta, Ogun state don sentence a 25-year-old woman, Chioma Okocha and five men, Ndubuisi John, Haruna Aliyu, Saddam Abdullahi, Bashir Usman and Usman Ibrahim to a total of 141 years imprisonment for cocaine and Indian hemp trafficking.
Director, Media & Advocacy of di National Drug Law enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Femi Babafemi, tok say Justice AC Obiozor of di Federal High Court, Benin been convict, sentence Chioma Okocha to 15 years in jail for di trafficking of 200 grams of cocaine for her arrest for Benin on 24th September, 2021.
Di convict been plead guilty to a one-count charge when her case been come up for court on Monday, November 15. Di judge been grant her option of N2million fine or 15 years in jail effective from September 24th when dem arrest her as she dey try to deliver 200g of Crack cocaine to customer for eatery inside Benin city.
Justice Ogunremi Omowunmi Oguntoyinbo been sentence di five men to 126 years imprisonment for di Federal High Court, Abeokuta for suit no. FHC/AB/105c/2021.
Dem been arrest di convicts on di 14th of September 2021 along Lagos-Ibdan expressway with 46 bags of Cannabis sativa wey be 552 kilograms for inside truck. Di convicts been face a 3-count charge of transportation, possession and dealing with di illicit drug.
Judge Oguntoyinbo been sentence di 1st, 2nd and 3rd accused persons to 30 years imprisonment each while di driver been collect 21 years and di motor boy/driver’s assistant 15 years in jail. Di jail term go run concurrently.
