“The honorable minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, informed Nigerians that they are talking with Twitter to resolve this matter. Our belief is that Nigeria needs Twitter just as much as Twitter needs Nigeria, we believe that the matter between Twitter and the federal government of Nigeria will be resolved but beyond that, I’m an optimist, I believe all of us will have learnt our lessons.”
Who be Ahmed Lawan?
Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan na Naija politician and professor wey dem born on 12 January 1959 and e don serve as the Senate President of Nigeria.
He finish him primary school for Sabon Gari Primary School, Gashua in 1974 and secondary school for Government Secondary School, Gashua in 1979 before he collect bachelor degree in Geography from the University of Maiduguri in 1984.
After university, Lawan do himyouth service for Benue State before he later go collect master degree in Remote Sensing from Ahmadu Bello University plus Doctorate degree in Remote Sensing/GIS from Cranfield University in 1990 and 1996.
He dey represents di Yobe North Senatorial District for Senate and na member of the All Progressives Congress. Lawan first enter di House of Representatives in 1999 as university lecturer from Gashua to represent di Bade/Jakusko Constituency as member of All Nigeria Peoples Party.
Lawan been work for Yobe State Civil Service as Education Officer for di state Ministry of Education in 1985 and 1986 before him go lecture for him alma mater, University of Maiduguri between 1987 and 1997.
