The trial of Femi Fani-Kayode don officially begin for Federal High Court, Abuja on Tuesday, April 25. A police officer don narrate how him get N26 million for the former minister of aviation. The prosecution accuse Fani-Kayode of colliding with former National Security Adviser (NSA) Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode dey on trial for Federal High Court in Abuja. The trial begin with Mr Victor Ehiabhi, a police officer, wey narrate how him help Fani-Kayode receive N26 million from the office of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki for 2014. The police officer identify himself as an Intelligence Operative with the Force Intelligence Bureau. Him tell the court say him dey deployed from the bureau’s Very Important Persons Protection (VIP) Unit, to serve as Fani-Kayode’s security aide before the 2015 presidential election.
Ehiabi say na him and Fani-Kayode domestic staff go receive the money from office of the NSA for the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Him also say the money wey dey packed for inside Ghana-Must-Go bag, dey him hand that time because Fani-Kayode no dey town and when him (Fani) return him thank them well.
After the witness talk finish, Mr Wale Balogun, the counsel to the defendant, apply for adjournment to give am time cross-examine the witness. Therefore, trial Justice John Tsoho adjourned the matter till June 6. The prosecuting counsel was Mr Johnson Ojogbane.
